Believe in yourself. You became a librarian for a reason.
Listen to the affirmations of others. And do not forget to speak words of affirmation to yourself as well.
Make “To do” lists each day. It helps keep track of what you want to get done. Plus it feels good when you can cross something off your list.
Recruit volunteers early on. They can make such a difference!
Do not be afraid to reach out to other librarians. We are a very helpful bunch.
You cannot always get everything done today. It is okay to come back tomorrow because there is always work to be done.
You cannot do everything. Sometimes you have to say no and that is okay.
