10 Days of Holiday Twitter: Part 3

Hi, everyone!

Well that's a wrap for the 10 Days of Holiday Twitter. I hope you've made found some new librarians to follow and learned a little about Twitter along the way. In case today is your first day to read about this Twitter challenge, please look back two weeks ago to see where it all started. You can also find a summary of the first 5 challenge videos on this page. The 10 day challenge has 2 levels of Twitter activity each day. The left hand side of the day was a challenge for librarians new to Twitter. The right hand side of the day was for librarians who have some Twitter experience.

Each day I shared videos/announcements that demonstrated what to do for the challenge of the day. I posted these videos on the Librarian Infleuncers' Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. I also shared the videos on my personal LinkedIn page. For ease of access, I will share the Facebook video links here:

Day 6: Search for #libinfluencers and follow the others who use that hashtag

Day 7: Practice retweeting

Day 8: Practice your Tweeting skills

Day 9: Respond to someone's Tweets

Day 10: Tweet about something new you learned during this challenge

I hope this has been a fun Twitter challenge for you. I know I have found many new people to follow and learn from. That's how we can build our Twitter Personal Learning Network (PLN).

If you are wanting a more in-depth training, I do have a Twitter How-To training on my website. You need to login to my website and then visit the Pop-Up PD tab.

This would be a fun thing for you to recycle in the Spring with your district/county librarians or even your teaching staff.

Did you meet Kevin McGuire this week? He's an awesome high school librarian in Pennsylvania. Take a few minutes and listen to his ideas on literacy programming. You'll love it! ***Join our library squad! Scroll to the bottom of the page and subscribe to our mailing list. Stay up to date on latest blog posts, podcast interviews, and other related topics.***
