• You don’t have to do an extreme makeover when you first move into the library.

• Concentrate on building relationships when you first move into the library.

• When you spend time cultivating relationships and building influence with people then it will help your library program become more successful and supported by your district.

• Work hard to be someone your administrator doesn’t need to worry about.

• “Go to other people’s parties.” You can build influence and relationships when you attend events and cultivate relationships with others.
