The Librarian Influencer of the Week is 2nd-year librarian Amanda Johnson from Virginia.
In this podcast, Amanda shares about her journey to getting her degree from an online library degree program from Louisiana State University, which was out of state for her. She then applied for an additional endorsement to her teaching license.
Amanda has one year of librarianship under her belt now and is much more confident since her routines are in place. She also has a better handle on her 1:1 environment this year. She’s learned not to be so critical of her herself because in retrospect she can see she has accomplished a lot.

She wants to work on building her reputation in her district since she is younger than her colleagues.

Her backup plans are a hit with the students when her original plans are interrupted or don’t go as planned.
She has a collaboration room in her library, which sounds really cool!
